About Travel and History

Welcome to Travel and History!

This blog began as our family travelled through Europe by train – from Voss, Norway to Venice, Italy via Copenhagen, Paris, Brig Switzerland, Cinque Terre, and Rome thanks in part to a sponsorship from Eurail Pass.   Now, we report on travel adventures all over the world.   This isn’t the only blog that features trip details but it’s usually the main one along with Twitter @JoeDuck and  @TravelHistory

Other sites and social media we write to regularly are Online Highways,  US History Blog, US History, QuickAid Airport Information Website, the QuickAid.com Airports Blog, and Oregon Coast Travel.

I’m going to coat-tail on what “Very Evolved” said… The way you connect to your audience is… Know who you are writing to. You need to pick a Target Audience and stick to them. You wouldn’t write to an audience of 14yr olds the same way you would write to an audience of 60yr olds.

Love the writing that Ben’s doing on Italy. A lot of it reminds me of my travels.
